| Curry Garden Restaurant 10 High St. Ringwood, Hampshire - (New Forest), UK. |
| when myself and wife called into The
Curry Garden at Ringwood . We had two very nice meals and a pleasant
chat with an extremely polite/professional waiter [Humayun]. We have
marked The Curry Garden in our good food memory and when next in the
area a stop by will definitely be priority. Have also hooked up to your
Website " CuisineNet " and will be put straight on to my favourites. Keep up the good work! Richard wood - Ealing, London |
| City Bay View - Chinese Restaurant Poole, Dorset, UK |

Hi. I would like to recommend a restaurant called City Bay View in Poole Dorset. It is a very nice Chinese Restaurant with a very wide ranging menu. Thanks. Steve Mayer. |
| The British Raj - Indian Restaurant 227, London Rd, Dartford, Kent, UK, DA9 9DF. Tel: 01322 385412 |
| Hi, I promise this is an unsolicited
recommendation but I would like to suggest the above Restaurant would
be worthy of inclusion in your list. I have long enjoyed Indian/Asian cuisine and to have such an excellent restaurant in this area is more like having a Jewel in a cloth cap than a Jewel in the Crown! I read an article in an Indian Restaurant magazine on who you are and what you are in the process of developing. Good luck and I look forward to visiting this site in future. Regards. Tony R |
| Shemon's Indian Cuisine Restaurant Oxford, Oxfordshire, UK |
| I would like to nominate Shemon's Indian
Cuisine in Oxford. It provides excellent quality food using only the
best and freshest ingredients. The service is friendly and efficient
yet not too familiar. Being recently refurbished it has a bright warm
decor. Situated in the city centre makes it ideal. The menu is wide
and varied with vegetarians fully catered. Its best dish is the Biriyani,
as its portions are generous yet costs as little as £4.95. The set meals
provide superb value as they contain dishes like chicken korai and tikka
mossala and many side dishes which cost £21.95 (for two). Taken separately
it would cost £35 in total. I strongly recommend this medium sized yet cosy restaurant to be your guide. Thanks. Sham. |
| Just 32 -
modern British Sun Street, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, UK |
|
A little bit of London in the burbs. Very cosy, but professional with a lively modern blue and yellow design motif. Excellent food - modern British, good fish selection, good cheese board, and a great wine list - which the waiters actually can talk about. Could rival some of the best in London. Try it you'll be pleasantly surprised. Beth Flynn - Hertfordshire, UK |
| Royal Orchid - Thai Restaurant Harpenden, Hertfordshire, UK |
| The best Thai I've ever had - even better
than the Blue Elephant in London. No take away, though, because that
degrades the freshness of the ingredients. Be sure to book, or you'll
have to wait it out at the pub next door.

| Blue Elephant - Thai Restaurant Fulham Boulevard, London, UK |
|
I Would like to Recommend the BLUE ELEPHANT THAI RESTAURANT in Fulham Boulevard in London. The Food is Superb and the Atmosphere is second to none. If you Know what your looking for the Menu is very Extensive but if your not so sure then Try the Banquet. I Have recently Visited Thailand and the Food in the Blue Elephant is very Authentic. I've been to this Restaurant 4 Times now and have yet to be Disappointed. But if you Don't want to be Embarrassed then don't tell them it's your Birthday. But you'll have to go to find out what they do. Definitely 10 out of 10. Rob Owen |
| Jhopri - South
Indian Restaurant Southgate, London N14, UK |
| I would like to recommend the Jhopri
Indian Restaurant in Southgate, London N14. This is definitely
not an ordinary Indian! Jhopri specialise in south Indian food
and the menu is different and delicious. There are cold
starters in addition to the more usual bhajis, samosas and purees.
Many of the main dishes were new to me. There is an extensive
range of vegetarian dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming
- no flock wall paper! I have been four or five times and recommend
you give it a try. Its a rare find! Prices are reasonable
- £50 including drinks/wine will be ample for two. (Its just down
The Bourne, about 2 mins walk from Southgate underground station on
the Piccadilly Line).

| Pakwaans -
Indian Restaurant High Road, Ilford, UK. |
| Pakwaans, Indian Restaurant, at High
Road Ilford is the best place we've eaten so far (taking into account
a lot of restaurants), there is excellent live music, especially on
Friday evenings.

| Dynasty -
Indian Restaurant Brockenhurst (New Forest), Hampshire, UK. |
| Dynasty in Brockenhurst
serves fresh, good quality Indian Cuisine in pleasant surroundings in
a warm and friendly manner. From the taste of the Lobster Massala
to the Nann Breads you can tell this foods has been prepared freshly
for you. I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area
as well as all the locals. I would be interested to here other opinion
of this restaurant.

| The Bengal
Tandoori - Indian Restaurant 16 Downs Way, East Preston, West Sussex, UK. |
| The Bengal Tandoori, is without doubt
the best in West Sussex. Situated between Worthing and Littlehampton
just off the main road with easy parking it has become a favourite for
Curry Lovers in the area. Affectionately known to locals as Noo Noo's
(the waiter who has been their since they opened about 10 years ago
is called Nanu - spelt I don't know how!!) they last year bought the
shop next door to double the size. Thankfully standards have not dipped
when getting larger. Try it, you will love it!

| Kutis Brasserie - Indian Restaurant 39 Oxford Street, Southampton, Hampshire, UK. |
| Kutis Brasserie is a
High Class Indian Restaurant which serves unusual fish dishes alongside
the usual Chicken Tikka Massala, Prawn Pattia etc, for those who enjoy
good quality Indian food in very pleasant surroundings and would
like to taste a few different dishes, this is the restaurant to choose. I would be interested to here other opinion of this restaurant.

| Shalimar
- Indian Restaurant Shalimar Restaurant 9 Hambledon Parade, Hambledon Road, Waterlooville, Hampshire, UK |
| I was recommended to this restaurant
by a close friend several years ago. I have not looked back ever since.
If you're looking for excellent food, superb service and a warm ambiance
then this is the place to go to. Although I have tried other restaurants
none seem to compare with the Shalimar. This is one place not to be
missed !
Gary Bull - Fareham |
| Veeraswamy
- Indian Restaurant 99 Regent Street, (Piccadilly Circus on your list) London, UK |
| I am surprised that you do not have
Veeraswamy. It must have amongst the best Indian food in town, apart
from being the granddaddy of Indian restaurants. I have eaten there
on several occasions in the past few months, and have seldom been disappointed.
I have found the dishes to be the genuine dishes from Indian homesof
different regions- cooked the way they should be . Eg the Oysters from
Kerala, the aromatic Biryani from Hyderabad, and the real rogan josh
from Lucknow. The new design and decor is stunning - vibrant and modern.
The staff were friendly, and on the whole professional. It is not cheap
- about £75 for a a full meal for 2 people for 3 courses with wine and
coffee. But it is worth it. So give it a try.

| The Eye of
the Tiger - Indian Restaurant 207 Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, Dorset UK |
| May I please report on a return visit
to The Eye of the Tiger restaurant, I Visited this restaurant in 1996
and loved it. Looked forward expectantly to a return visit and eventually
had the opportunity to return this last week 11/9/99. Superb - The Chicken
Ceylon has to be one of the best ever, so full of flavour and a lovely
thick sauce. For holiday makers or locals, well worth trying.

| Mrs Unis Kitchen
- South Asian Restaurant 99-101 Dalry Road, EDINBURGH, EH11 2AB T: 0131 337 3852 F: 0131 337 9474 |
| This restaurant is superbly
unique as it is Edinburgh's first South Asian buffet restaurant where
you can eat all you want for under £12.00 any night of the week. You
can also bring your own bottle and you won't even be charged any corkage!
The service is also very personal and the surroundings aspirational.
Oh yes the food, well being Mrs Unis you can always expect the traditional
authentic spicy flavour of south Asian created just as your mother would
make - very much worth a taste.

| The Grand dubar
& The Tiffin - Indian Restaurant Leicester, Leicestershire, UK |
| I have just been looking
through your data base on Indian restaurants and find it incredible
that with the enormous Indian/Asian population and superb selection
of restaurants in Leicester none of these are featured could I suggest
your try The Tiffin, Leicester, average meal for two £38 The Grand dubar,
Leicester, average meal for two £30 incl. drinks, their are many more
excellent establishments and all very reasonably priced .

| Tanners Restaurant Tanners Restaurant, Prysten House, Lockyer Street, Plymouth,SW England .E UK |
|
Tanners Restaurant is the last place
you'd expect to find in Central Plymouth. Its very popularity stems
round 2 simple themes Location & Brilliant cooking. When I visited
it, they had only been open a week but its setting inside one of Plymouths
oldest Medieval buildings with its own Courtyard which gave it an
exclusive atmosphere. When you couple it with the cooking of the Tanner
brothers- trained by the Roux brothers; you have a wonderful mixture.
