PRESS RELEASE

16 June 1999
For Immediate Release

the Right Honourable William Hague with CuisineNet's very own, Humayun KhanRt. Honourable William Hague MP

Approves of CuisineNet…

CuisineNet – The UK Internet Restaurant Directory was the focus of the recent Curry & Oriental Restaurant Show at Wembley and The Ethnic Food & Drink Show at NEC Birmingham. Not only was there an impressive queue of visitors at CuisineNet’s stand requesting a demonstration of its comprehensive Internet Directory, but there was one very special visitor - the Right Honourable William Hague who commented "what an excellent idea". He then went on to identify several of his favourite restaurants.

CuisineNet’s Internet Directory is simply one of its kind with 10% Discount Voucher from restaurateurs, reviews, recipes, competitions, suppliers and market surveys. Like William Hague, there are over 42,000 monthly users of CuisineNet, and the numbers are increasing at a phenomenal rate.

A recent NOP survey shows that over 11 million people are now using the Internet in the UK alone, and a further 10,900 new users log on to the Net on a daily basis. The launch of digital TV, together with FREE Internet access, will make the Internet as common as the home VCR. Given the statistics, It makes perfect business sense for Restaurateurs to market themselves on CuisineNet’s Internet Directory.

CuisineNet has just announced the launch of its online searchable database of some 6,000 restaurants, providing even greater choice to users.

Already there are hundreds of full profiled restaurants on CuisineNet’s Directory, and to encourage more Restaurateurs, CuisineNet has recently slashed its promotion rates. Anyone who wishes to include his or her restaurant’s full menus, special offers, map and general details can do so for as little as £80.85 for one whole year. Furthermore, restaurateurs can update their special offer details and menu prices free of charge.

"CuisineNet’s policy is to generate capital through corporate sponsorship and not profit from individual restaurateurs", said Managing Director, Jay Khan.

"Our aim is to have at the very least, one full profiled restaurant from every village, town and city within the UK. Our new pricing policy in conjunction with our active awareness campaigns should help us to achieve that goal much sooner." Any businesses wishing to discuss the benefits CuisineNet can provide should contact Humayun Khan on 01425 489 663.
